Area of focus: Humanitarianism/Public Service
This SentTell Scholarship was established in honor of Jeff McNair, a role-model and father figure to SentTell founder Walter Wallace who is extremely active in the Christian church and helped others in need. Students who are seen as role models/leaders and can show proof of service in their church (at least 20 hours) are encouraged to apply.
Application Criteria
- Must be a current member (in good standing) in the AVID program for at least one full year.
- Must have taken at least one Advanced Placement (AP) course.
- Must attend a four-year accredited university upon high school graduation.
- Must be a prospective first-generation college student.
- Must show an active involvement helping others in a Christian church.
- Must complete the REV Scholarship Packet with attached essay.
Essay (600-800 words)
Explain why your involvement in the church is so important to you and how have you helped others as a result? What influences or experiences in your life have contributed to you being a leader and/or future role model? Include any volunteer work (at least 20 hours), personal experience that has prepared you in this endeavor.
